Hello, I'm Susan Coleman.

Susan Coleman is a traditional singer and concertina player from Co. Donegal​,​ Ireland. Her deep rooted connection to traditional Irish music comes from her family heritage​,​ with musical influences from both sides: the Harper family on her mother’s side​,​ and the Colemans on her father’s side​,​ known for their traditional singing. Following in her family’s footsteps​,​ Susan has achieved widespread recognition for her music​,​ having travelled throughout Ireland​,​ Scotland​,​ France​,​ Hungary​,​ Germany​,​ Switzerland​,​ Austria​,​ Italy and beyond​,​ teaching and performing at a multitude of summer schools​,​ workshops and festivals. Susan graduated from the University of Limerick with two First-Class Honours degrees; a Bachelor in Irish Music + Gaeilge (2020) and a Professional Master of Education in Music and Irish (2022). In 2019​,​ Susan was awarded the honours advanced grade teaching certificate by Comhaltas Ceoltóirí Éireann (TTCT). Aside from her teaching work​,​ Susan can be found touring with various projects including her duo project with Simon Pfisterer​,​ dance show Danceperados of Ireland and her band​,​ 3 on the Bund.
