Hello, I'm Susan Coleman.
Susan Coleman is a traditional singer and concertina player from Co. Donegal, Ireland. Her deep rooted connection to traditional Irish music comes from her family heritage, with musical influences from both sides: the Harper family on her mother’s side, and the Colemans on her father’s side, known for their traditional singing. Following in her family’s footsteps, Susan has achieved widespread recognition for her music, having travelled throughout Ireland, Scotland, France, Hungary, Germany, Switzerland, Austria, Italy and beyond, teaching and performing at a multitude of summer schools, workshops and festivals. Susan graduated from the University of Limerick with two First-Class Honours degrees; a Bachelor in Irish Music + Gaeilge (2020) and a Professional Master of Education in Music and Irish (2022). In 2019, Susan was awarded the honours advanced grade teaching certificate by Comhaltas Ceoltóirí Éireann (TTCT). Aside from her teaching work, Susan can be found touring with various projects including her duo project with Simon Pfisterer, dance show Danceperados of Ireland and her band, 3 on the Bund.
